Biography
Dr. Arze Karam is a research fellow at Queen’s University Belfast. Before joining QUB, Arze had defended her PhD at University of Paris, France. Her main research interests are in the market microstructure area. More specifically, she had developed a stream of research focusing on informed market making impact (case of NASDAQ). Her dissertation uses state-of-the-art econometric modelling to perform comprehensive empirical tests of the newest theory on the subject. Earlier, she had completed her Master of Science with distinction from University of Toulouse, France. She had also spent one semester as an exchange student in the PhD program at Georgia State University, USA. She has five years of teaching experience in the following areas: Capital Markets, Options and derivatives, International Business Finance, Corporate Finance and Asset Management. Many courses she taught in France had English as a language of instruction.
